“Let us rise up and build.” (Nehemiah 2:18)

For years, St. John the Baptist Matiraini Local Church has welcomed the Kaheti Parish family to worship under a roof that now leaks, on floors that have cracked and shifted, and beside walls that were never finished. "Let us rise up and build" (Nehemiah 2:18). Our patron, St. John the Baptist, called people to prepare the way, and now we ask you to help us prepare a lasting home for our worship. Every contribution, however small, brings us closer to a church building that is safe, dignified, and ready for the generations after us.

Why We're Fundraising

The photos below were taken inside our own church. They show why this appeal matters: cracked sanctuary floors, an unfinished wall left bare since construction paused, and a roof that lets rain in during services.
